We are together creating an extraordinary era like never before. It may be hard to recognize while being caught up in daily life and fighting our own battles, but we are indeed creating such an unprecedented time together. Conc Design Week (CDW) is a festival where all of us working with materials gather to share our stories. It is a festival that acknowledges our existence as we pass through these current times together.

FAQ

I’m curious about the background of starting Conc Design Week

Conc Design Week was initiated with the desire to put into practice, albeit on a smaller scale, the experiences felt during the 3days of design in Copenhagen in 2022 and the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven in 2023. It documents all of us living in 2023, creating materials and working with them. For more details, please check the link (available in Korean).

I want to visit Conc Design Week. What should I prepare?

Simply complete and submit the CDW application form prior to your visit. No additional documents are required.

Is there an admission fee?

Admission is free. We invite you to fully enjoy CDW 2023, which has been organized with a spirit of hospitality.

When and where is the festival held?

The festival takes place across three primary venues: Conc, Standard A, and Paper Magazine Club. At Conc and Standard A, you’ll find exhibitions from 20 teams specializing in material work. Meanwhile, Paper Magazine Club features a curated selection of magazines and books by Conc.

How do I go from one location to another?

Each spot is only a short 3 to 5-minute walk apart. You can comfortably stroll and explore the various locations of CDW.

Is there parking available?

CDW does not offer designated parking spots. We recommend using nearby paid parking facilities, such as the GS Park 24 Hapjeong-dong Parking Lot and the GS Times Hapjeong-dong 2nd Parking Lot, both conveniently located close to Conc.

What can I expect during Conc Design Week?

Have you ever wondered how the materials showcased at Conc would appear when utilized in design? Perhaps you’ve seen similar works in international contexts and are curious if there are local designers engaging in comparable projects? We shared this curiosity and were equally thrilled as we reviewed the incredible applications we received. It was in that moment we realized we were onto something truly special. Join us to celebrate the great design in 2023.

I have another question. How can I contact you?

Do you have more questions? Please let us know at cdw@concseoul.com!
